A recent study published wanted to test the effects of blood sugar levels in mice, here's what happened.


  • Group A: Water
  • Group B: Sugar Water
  • Group C: Water & Aspartame
  • Group D: Water & Spledna
  • Group E: Water & Saccharin

Results: Groups A & B no significant rise in blood sugar levels, while Groups C,D, & E had a significant rise in blood sugar levels.

What you drink and eat matters

Why this matters for those of you still ingesting/drinking products that contain sweeteners; This directly shows a link between consuming sweeteners and the increasing chances of becoming OBESE or DIABETIC.

Just to be sure, the researchers tested this on human subjects next, what they found out was the exact same; people consuming artificial sweeteners still have glucose (sugar) intolerance.

Artificial sweeteners have long been linked to other health problems too. So if you are drinking diet sodas, you need to stop! Drink a real soda over a diet soda! Now, I am not endorsing sodas here, because you are better off not drinking them at all, but if you are going to have one, do not make it a diet one.

There is an old saying "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him stop drinking artificial sweeteners." OK, so maybe that's not an old saying, but you see my point. Why is it so hard for people to do a little research of their own? Look into this stuff, Google it! You will find loads of articles about how bad artificial sweeteners are for your body! Then once you read the information, apply it! It's seriously that easy!!

People say but I love my diet soda, I love my chewing gum; great! Then make some simple changes, get sodas that are sweetened with xylitol or stevia (two safe sweeteners), get chewing gum sweetened with xylitol. Its that easy. It is really confusing to me how people can be told they are eating/drinking things that are bad for them, and they don't really care, they keep doing it.

Chewing gum you find in almost all checkout lanes, all diet sodas, most flavored waters/juice drinks, & a lot of fitness/workout products (proteins, pre-workouts).
